After all, good design isn't just about how a space looks – it's about how it makes you feel.

"Wabi-Sabi"

Wabi is commonly defined as a simple yet austere beauty that exudes a serenity based in nature, while sabi refers to the concept of beauty growing in tandem with age and use—flaws and all. Together the words unite to mean "finding beauty in imperfection".

What does the furniture plan look like and how do we work on it?

In our approach to furniture planning, we focus on creating spaces that are both functional and  aesthetically aligned with our client’s vision. We begin by understanding the client’s lifestyle,  preferences, and needs for each room. This allows us to select furniture pieces that not only fit  spatially but also resonate with the intended style and purpose of the space.

Each furniture plan is carefully designed and laid out in a detailed floor plan, like the one shown  here, to give the client a clear visual of the layout. We incorporate key furniture elements, including  measurements and placements, to ensure everything flows seamlessly. Once the plan is developed,  we present it to the client with accompanying visuals and 3D renderings when necessary, allowing  them to visualize the end result. Our goal is to make the decision-making process smooth and to  ensure every piece contributes to a cohesive, inviting, and functional environment.

Developing a 3D furniture plan is an essential part of our design process, as it provides a realistic  view of how each piece will fit and function within the space. Unlike 2D layouts, a 3D plan allows  clients to visualize the dimensions, proportions, and flow of the furniture arrangement, giving a  more comprehensive understanding of the final look and feel of each room.

In essence, the 3D furniture plan is a bridge between concept and reality, providing confidence in  the design choices and ensuring that the final space not only meets but exceeds expectations. It’s a  crucial tool for communication, enabling our clients to experience their space before it’s completed,  and fostering a collaborative design journey.

Master drawings

Before we begin designing the detailed kitchen drawings, it’s important to outline the specific  elements and considerations we’ll be focusing on to ensure seamless production. This project  involves creating precise technical drawings for the kitchen cabinets and drawer configurations, as  well as detailed specifications for materials, dimensions, and assembly instructions.

Key design objectives

Our aim is to deliver comprehensive, highly detailed drawings that address every aspect of the kitchen’s layout and functionality. By completing these, we can move forward confidently with the production team, ensuring that the final kitchen installation is efficient, cohesive, and fully meets the client’s expectations. Let’s begin crafting these drawings to bring this vision to life.

01

Material Selection

We are using high-grade materials that match the overall aesthetic of the  space. The cabinets and drawers feature a combination of veneered platform slats and durable  surfaces that harmonize with the kitchen’s design language.

02

Drawer and Cabinet Detailing

  • Handle-less Design: The drawers incorporate a push-to open mechanism, offering a sleek, seamless appearance without external handles.
  • Soft-Close Mechanism: Equipped with touch-free, full-extension slides, these drawers provide ease of use, stability, and a quiet closing feature.
  • Precision Fit: Each component is crafted to ensure alignment with existing cabinetry, enhancing both functionality and visual cohesion.
03

Assembly and Installation

  • Alignment and Adjustment: The drawings will include detailed installation instructions, ensuring that slides are aligned and adjusted for smooth operation.
  • Ease of Use: Specific attention will be paid to the installation of soft-close mechanisms to maintain the kitchen’s minimalist aesthetic without compromising on usability.
04

Countertop and Worktop Details

  • Material Choice: The worktop is designed using natural quartz, which adds durability and a  refined finish to the overall design.
  • Integration with Appliances: The layout will specify cutouts for sinks and cooktops, ensuring seamless integration with the worktop and cabinetry.
05

Dimensions and Scale

  • Each drawing will include precise measurements for cabinet depth, drawer size, and spacing. This level of detail is essential for calculating costs, ensuring accurate assembly, and facilitating  smooth communication with the production team.
